We like to see them here at Cinemark Tinseltown in Plano ( - not Dallas) and if you'd like to know which movies we like, click here!  To find out what's playing there today, click on the photo.
The Dallas Summer Musicals are also performed in the State Fair Music Hall .  We had  tickets to these the last two years and we were going to bail out this year - but the play list is very enticing!  Our all time favorite here is Phantom of the Opera.

Romano's Macaroni Grill belongs on here too but their logo from the website looks really crummy when you copy it.
We almost always split the grilled pork chop here and often add a glass of wine - blush for G, Chianti for me.
JAXX is a special occasion place for us - good for birthday's, anniversaries, and Valentines - although it's about a once a year stop for us - just a little pricey.

The Dallas Theater Center performs in an intimate Kalita Humphries Theater
dsigned by  Frank Lloyd Wright in 1959  and located the Turtle Creek area of Dallas and in the Dallas Arta District, bringing the excitement of live theater to  the Dallas area theater lovers.

We've seen several performances over the years and are trying out a subscription this year. The whole family saw

The Dallas Opera performs in the State Fair Music Hall and every season presents a program of the best  loved operas sung by world class performers.  We've been attending these since 1998..

Our Dallas
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra has been playing in the world reknown Meyerson Symphony Center since 1989 and we've been attending since then.  The hall's acoustics are recognized as one of the best in the world.  It's been fun watching the orchestra, under the batons of Eduardo Mata followed by Andrew Litton becoming one of the nation's finest.

Favorite places for eating out
JAXX
Cafe Brazil is an unusual (and convenient) place for after symphony coffee and snack - sometimes another breakfast. - the Central Expressway & Mockigbird location. (See their menu on their website.)
Terill's is a lower Greenville restraunt we like for Sunday brunch (eggs benedict) .  It's a great people watcher place!

Jason's is the best for good, fresh food quick at an inexpensive price. Sandwiches, salads, an excellent tortilla soup, and a freebie ice cream - and a fun challange to see who can make the best dessert mixing the ice cream with something from the food bar or a leftover (saved) from the meal - like strawberries or gingerbread.
Romano's Macaroni Grill belongs on here too but their logo from the website looks really crummy when you copy it.
We almost always split the grilled pork chop here and often add a glass of wine - blush for G, Chianti for me.
And then, of course, there's Starbucks.
We don't pay the $6.10 for two grande lattes as often anymore since I make an OK one myself now.
But the Northwest Highway and Dallas North Tollway location is interesting and if you go on the first Monday  night of the month, you can catch Gary Coghill's movie reviews.

The Performing Arts!
Greg used to work here
It only looks this way when it floods!
Reunion Tower - it really does this!
Jaxx's  signaturre dish is Pepper Steak, a filet mignon cooked in cognac and flavored with cracked peppercorn.  They also make the best bread pudding in town.
And of course Dallas is in Texas and that means Tex-Mex and On the Border is our favorite place for Mexican.  That usually means splitting an order of "Ultimate Fajitas" - mucho grande!
